Brief Bio
Dr Pietro Murano is a member of the Informatics & Acoustics Research strand and a member of the Centre for Virtual Environments and Future Media at the University of Salford. His research is in the field of Computer Science, specifically the areas of Human Computer Interaction, Usability, Systems Evaluation and Software Agents.
His leading edge research has been presented worldwide both in terms of presentations and publications. He was successfully submitted to the recent 2008 Research Assessment Exercise.
Further, Dr Murano is involved with international reviewing for various conferences and journals within his area of expertise. His teaching is also within the areas mentioned above at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
He is a full member of the British Computer Society, a Chartered IT Professional and a Chartered Engineer. His professional status is also recognised by the FEANI register. He is also a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
