Dr Robin Wolff is Senior Researcher at CVE. He joined CVE in January 2004, continuing his PhD studies he started at the University of Reading. His research interests focus on tele-immersion, immersive collaborative virtual environments, event-handling and networking, with extended interest in motion tracking, real-time simulations and augmented reality

He was awarded a Dipl.-Ing.(FH) in Computer Engineering at the FHTW Berlin, Germany, in 2001, and a MSc in Parallel and Scientific Computation at University of Reading, UK, in 2001. In 2007 he was awarded a PhD in Immersive Collaborative Virtual Environments at the University of Salford, UK. His PhD thesis investigated the support of both non-verbal human-to-human communication and shared object manipulation within immersive collaborative virtual environments. During his studies he pioneered the linking of CAVEs and similar immersive displays across Europe allowing remote people to interact naturally around shared virtual objects.
